One Valenzuela
recently received an e-mail from a fellow Valenzuelano, Jon Lazaro of Gen. T.
De Leon, who is asking for support on his advocacy entitled “Love Worth
Sharing”. After exchanging several
e-mails about his advocacy and asking a few more details about him, One Valenzuela
would like to share his campaign by posting his replies on the following
article.
Love Worth Sharing: Photography with a Purpose |
About "Love Worth Sharing"*
The idea behind “Love
Worth Sharing” is the question “What kind of relationship does God want for
us?” We often said that we should follow our heart, or use our mind but that is
being selfish, isn’t it? I have learned through time that in everything we do,
we should ask God for what He wants us to do. In relationships for example, we
should ask God first if this guy or girl is the one He wants for us.

“Love Worth Sharing”
aims to inspire the youth by telling the stories of couples who had wonderful
relationships because they sought God first and they waited for God’s perfect
timing. I believe that waiting is also trusting. If we trust God, we can wait.
The advocacy is open to all as long as your stories are God centered. Your stories will be evaluated and we will ask you some questions for clarifications. Every month, we will announce one winner. If you join for a certain month but did not make it, we will schedule you for the next month as long as your story is worth sharing.
There is no word count
limit in telling your story. It can be in English or Filipino. Your story will
be edited on a 3rd person’s view before posting.
The winner of the month will receive a free photo shoot session worth Php5000.
We will organize a meeting with the couple to plan their shoot (location,
schedule, and concept). Their photos will be posted on my page with their
story. The couple may also request to have their copies (soft copy with
watermark) for free.
Who is Jon Lazaro? One
Valenzuela asked a few more questions about his inspiration and photography
background. Here is his answer:*
I have been exposed to
photography since I was a child. As a child, I was raised on a traditional way.
Every time we have family gatherings, we always take photographs. I saw the
importance of taking pictures and how valuable the camera is.
Meet fellow Valenzuelano, Jon Lazaro. |
When I entered
college, I became the organization president of iObscura, a photography
organization in the University of Santo Tomas. It led and helped me to master
my craft as well as my leadership skills. I met masters of photography and was inspired by
them.
After college, my
friends and I did some freelance works. We shoot different kinds of events like
weddings and corporate events. It lasted for more than a year until we applied
for day jobs.
I used to work for a
Christian company for a while where I learned how I should use my skills. After
resigning, I put up my own business. Jon Lazaro Photography started last
September 2014. Its mission is to show love visually through photography. I believe
that God is love and I think I can visualize “love” for others to see God.
My office is located
at 2451 M. Delos Reyes St. Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela city. It is open from
Monday to Saturday, 8am – 7pm. You can contact us at this numbers: (0906)544-5482 and (02) 245-9318.
