It's the season of love and it's time to celebrate it! Though the thought of visiting posh places may seem to be a great idea (you know, going the extra mile for that special someone), One Valenzuela thinks that it would be better to be just within the city on Valentine's. Imagine getting stuck in heavy traffic far from home. Better save that trip on another day.
So here's a quick list of possible date plans which you might want to try out this Valentine's season if you're done with the stay-at-home movie just-us time. Here, One Valenzuela thought of an activity which you might want to do with your loved one as well as the possible nearby places where you can eat out after. By the way, this list is made for those who would like to have a laid-back, no frills date. And nope, this is not for those who want a super soshal evening.
1. Relaxed Nail Pampering
Yes, you go to Puregold for basic commodity shopping. But now you go to Puregold Valenzuela complex not to complete your grocery list. Rather you should go here on Valentine's and have your nails done at Le Classe Lounge Nails and Body Spa. One Valenzuela has been here many times (waving to the staff!). It has a number of packages which you can choose from (like their Elite Spa Pedicure which One Valenzuela recommends). The chair you seat on is not your ordinary salon chair. It gives 15-minute massages! Le Classe Lounge Nails and Body Spa now also offers various massages at its body spa area located at the second floor of the same building.

Puregold Valenzuela along McArthur Highway also has a growing number of food spots where you can dine in. Other than a Max's and David's Tea House branch, Arca Strip has two more food havens which you may want to check-out: The Real Grill Burger (highly recommended local burger joint which hailed from Brgy. Lingunan) and Pomodoro Pizza and Pasta Kitchen. If you are up for a walk, stroll Balubaran Road and there you can have some epic milkshakes at Marvelous Cafe which is just adjacent Mang Kups (serves pares).

2. Coffee Lover's Night Out + Free Concert at the Park
There are two coffee shops near the park where you can grab a couple of cups and just stare at your ultimate crush who is at the other side of the table. One Valenzuela's personal pick is Seattle's Best at Valenzuela Town Center (because of the Tuna Salad!) and then there's also Tully's at the other side of the road (Check out their pretty velvet cake below!).

After filling in with your dose of caffeine, walk hand-in-hand at the People's Park and head towards the amphitheater where Itchy Worms and Parokya ni Edgar is playing this February 14. FREE admission. The best things in life are libre, right? Thanks for the love, Valenzuela LGU!

3. Massage Date for Two
Infinima Body Massage and Spa in Maysan is the place to go for a soothing massage. One Valenzuela highly suggests that you reserve your slots early via phone call since their place easily gets full of people who want a good body rub.

When you get hungry, you can walk a bit and eat Chinese food at Chef Yu or have a bowl of fish soup (Pesang dalag, sarap!) or some crunchy putok-batok chicharong bulaklak at Maricopa.
4. Catching a Breeze and a Fish
If you haven't tried fishing in the city, this is the best time to try it with your special someone. It's not rainy and the heat from the sun isn't as extreme as summer. Bring some food for a little picnic and grill your catch! Three recommended places for a fish frenzy activity are D' Cove (Tagalag), Aling Nene's Pond (Coloong), and La Casa Antigo (Tagalag).

Do note that during V-week, many establishments and restaurants tend to be full of people. If this is the case, you can always spend some quality time with your better half on a different day. Always remember that love happens everyday.
Happy Valentine's Day, Valenzuelanos! Spread the love. <3
